We have identified 50 congresspersons in the United States House of Representatives who must be voted out of office on November 2nd because they furthered the radical left wing agenda in 2009 against the interests of their constituents. We identified these congresspersons based solely on their 2009 voting records and the historical voting patterns of the congressional districts they represent.
(1) they voted for at least 2 of 3 bad bills (Stimulus, Cap-and-Trade, and Obamacare) last year, and
(2) they represent a district where McCain received at least 45% of the vote in 2008. A few others (Bean, Driehaus, Foster, Kildee, and McNerney) made the list even though their district bucked historical trend by only supporting McCain with 43 or 44% of the vote (below our 45% threshold)

Interesting list! I am going to pass it on. Surprised so many from Ohio. What a sad state.
ReplyDeleteOhioans need to look east. We do things right in the Hoosier state. Except Bye Bye Bayh. But I suspect we will fix that.
ReplyDeleteA primary target must be Grayson. Glad he's not my Congressman... what an embarrassment. His out of place comments are forgettable to a degree, but it's a clear pattern of obnoxious partisan hackery. He drags the debate down.
ReplyDeleteIt should not be hard at all. The simple truth is that a day-old turkey on rye should be able to defeat Grayson, who is too busy smirking to himself in the mirror every night after having just pulled his foot from his mouth from the business of the day. If there is a male counterpart to Nancy Pelosi in the "most hated" department, Grayson would have to be it (except that he's too stupid to hate; more like we look at him as a sad, sad case--a lightweight with a big mouth who looks like he would cry if someone *****-slapped that silly smirk off of his face).
In a way, it might be even better if the idiot stayed in the Congress to continue embarassing Democratic party. Unfortunately, I doubt his constituency is much amused at being represented by this clown and will vote him out of office first chance they get. If they are smart, they will go Massachussets on him.
It is time for the Turbanator to realize that governing is hard work, and that a president, I mean Grayson, can’t just wave a magic wand and fix everything
ReplyDeleteGreat point Hoosier ... Ohioans needs to look west for Daniels and Pence but east for the exciting Toomey race! We sense an upset in the Keystone State.
ReplyDeleteWe are not surprised that Marion Berry is expected to announce his retirement tomorrow morning. Berry voted for both the failed stimulus and obamacare in '09. Nearly 6 out of 10 in his district voted for McCain. This earned him a spot on the MUST GO list. I guess that he just couldn't take the heat that he knew would be coming from MMX FLEX.
ReplyDelete"Haven't seen him on a list, but we are looking to replace Tom Cole in Oklahoma...He voted for the Bush Bailout despite a barrage of calls from us against it. (as reported by the aide on the phone with me) Then he sent us a very condescending letter explaining how he knew more about it than we did. That was the kicker!"
ReplyDeleteHere's a good analysis from CNN on 2010 retirements:
ReplyDeleteWhile Democrats will almost certainly use no-go decisions by the likes of Buyer and Arizona Rep. John Shadegg to dispute the narrative that retirements are all on their side, close Congressional watchers know that all retirements are not created equally.

Of the 15 Republican retirements, just two of the seats have a Partisan Voting Index score that favors Democrats. (PVI is a calculation that seeks to measure the partisanship of every district against all the other districts in the country. Delaware Republican Rep. Mike Castle's district, for example, has a PVI score of D+7 meaning that it the two most recent presidential elections in performed 10 points more Democratic than the country as a whole.)
Contrast that with the fact that six of the 12 Democratic open seats have a PVI score that favors Republicans and you see that where retirements come from is more important than simply the raw numbers of those leaving.
Steve Cohen(TN-9) shouldn't be on there, his district is based in Memphis and Obama got close to 75% of the vote there.
ReplyDeleteNot that I wouldn't want to see him gone, but your indicator that McCain got 56% of the vote in his district is inaccurate and probably referring to the neighboring 8th instead.
Thank you for pointing that out. We [reluctantly] removed Cohen from our chart.
ReplyDeleteLets make sure they all get voted out in november!
ReplyDeleteDiane Watson(D-CA) is retiring now.
ReplyDeleteHoosier, you need a new compass.
ReplyDeletei see that you have baron hill on your list. funny because i heard talk about him possibly running for bayh's senate seat. doubt the state will support him after his 2009 votes.
ReplyDeleteHave you seen www.mycongressmanmustgo.com and www.mysenatormustgo.com??
ReplyDeleteYou can send in your respective representative and they will add it to the site. Cheeck out their mission page to see if you agree.
Dale Kildee, (D-MI) for the 5th District is listed as one of the 50 Congressmen that must go. I am the Conservative Republican Candidate that is running against him. I sat down with a staffer in DC over a year ago and went through and gave her the documentation to give Kildee taht Climate Change is entirely Normal and that there is no need for a Cap & Trade Bill, but he ignored eveything, never responded, and voted for this Ponzi Scheme, mandated by junk science. He has never met a spending bill, or a tax increase, that he didn't like.
ReplyDeleteHis main goal now is to be the longest serving Congressman ever. How does that help his constituents?
I hope you will support my efforts to be the Independant Conservative voice for the people of the 5th District.
